It happens. Some events must relocate venue or be cancelled/postponed due to low attendance and/or weather. In these instances:
- Notify the NextUp HQ staff right away.
- Contact the venue.
- Alert registrants of the change/cancellation.
- Determine possible postponement dates and consider availability for speakers, sponsors, national staff, catering, entertainment, etc.
- Submit a new Save the Date request.
- Indicate in ‘Additional Requests’ section the original event’s name and date being replaced as well as if event should be reopened with the original event’s details.
Important things to remember when rescheduling an event:
- Refund deadline is 10 business days prior to the new event’s date. Any registrant who can no longer attend is granted a full refund.
- Transfer deadline is 3 business days prior to the new event’s date.
